Story

A contemporary story about finding your fortune in the world of West Texas oil rigs.. A landowner, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as intermediary between geological exploration companies and landowners. Usually, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and enter into contracts with landowners with mineral rights in order to lease these rights to the company they represent.

They also partially correct, solve problems and mediate

In essence, they manage the land and secure the lease so they can drill for oil and gas. As a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, living quarters for workers (men’s camp), collect earthmoving equipment and drill the well itself, especially in remote areas. Well, I didn’t know what to expect from this, because Taylor Sheridan either makes an interesting and entertaining series, or he makes a disaster, like the spin-off of “Yellowstone” with Harrison Ford called “1923”.

It’s really funny, despite the fact that some of the characters are ridiculous, but they clearly fit into this series

Billy Bob Thornton is a great choice for this role, the character is funny and interesting and completely different from most characters in modern shows and movies, which is refreshing. Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, is exactly the character we needed, and the show is fun without pretentious nonsense, at least for now. His family, daughter and ex-wife are hilarious, his relationship with his daughter is a little strange, but he himself is sometimes shocked by it, as we can see from his reactions.

The dialogue is what makes this series interesting, unlike most of what the “entertainment industry” offers us today, it’s actually fun. The cinematography is good, and the soundtrack is excellent and fits the plot and atmosphere of the series perfectly. It remains to be seen how the characters will develop, including those played by Demi Moore, Jon Hamm and Jacob Lofland, who plays Cooper Norris, son of Tommy Norris.

At the moment it has great potential, let’s hope it moves in the right direction

The casting is quite good, the actors are clearly having a good time, and that makes the series even better.
